Academic Decathlon Donation

Academic Decathlon is the single most rigorous academic competition in the country. Teams are made of 9 students who compete individually in 10 separate events including: Math, Science, Art, Literature, Social Science, Economics, Music, Speech, Interview, and Essay. Each team member's individual score is added to their team score. Teams can win medals as a team and as individuals in every event and overall team score. The events never change, but the topic varies from year to year, so students are always learning and competing over new material.

Ages

Academic Decathlon is for any student in grades 9-12.

When

Academic Decathlon is very unique in that the season runs all year. Materials for the next year's competition is released upon completion of the nationals competition. So for freshman through juniors, when one seasons ends, another begins!

Where

Academic Decathlon competes in several locations across Colorado every year, including Englewood HS, Frontier Academy, and University of Northern Colorado.

Practices

Team members practice throughout the school year as many as 3-4 times a week.

Games

Teams compete several times a year in two practice competitions, regionals, state, and nationals.

Jerseys

Team members receive team shirts usually designed by a fellow teammate and are purchased using team dues.

Extra Costs

Our Academic Decathlon team is completely self-funded. We pay for competitions, team shirts, study materials, and travel through dues and kind donations!

Academic Decathlon Donation

Academic Decathlon is the nation's premier high school academic competition. Our team has won state and qualified for nationals four years in a row. However, travel, accommodations, and materials are very expensive, so any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Donations will help send our students to the national competition and help pay for next year's materials.
